Wallbrook is delighted to announce the appointment of James Aquilina and Sarah de Gay as co-Chairs of our Advisory Board. James and Sarah have worked with the Wallbrook team for several years, and we are pleased that they have agreed to take on more formal roles supporting the growth of our firm globally.

James Aquilina

Based in Los Angeles, James is an accomplished cybersecurity expert and investigator with a demonstrated history of building and leading world-class teams in business intelligence and investigations, cybersecurity and data protection.  James was pivotal in the growth of Stroz Friedberg - where he worked alongside the majority of Wallbrook’s senior team - as well as in its ultimate sale to Aon Plc in 2016.  Before entering the private sector, James served for almost a decade as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.

James commented: “I am delighted to again be working with the Wallbrook team. Together we have previously demonstrated the value of employee-owned and managed investigations firms, and I look forward to supporting Wallbrook’s growth and scale, particularly in the Americas where their B-Corp certification distinguishes them as truly unique in the sector”.

Sarah de Gay

Based in London, Sarah de Gay recently stepped down as General Counsel of a magic circle law firm, a role she served in for over five years. Prior to that, she had established the firm’s Compliance Department, having previously qualified and practised as a corporate/commercial lawyer. She has known and worked with the team at Wallbrook since its formation.

Sarah commented: “I have seen first-hand the quality of the Wallbrook team’s work. What marks their business out as unique in their sector is their ethical approach - both in how they approach their work and how they value their staff, many of whom are shareholders in the business. This gives them real credibility in relation to their impressive ESG and human rights practice and I look forward to supporting them on governance issues as they continue to grow”.
