Shereen is an Associate at Wallbrook’s London office, working in the Human Rights practice, where she leads research and advisory assignments for investors and multinational companies. She conducts human rights research, due diligence, and risk and impact assessments. She advises clients on best practice in business and human rights in line with the international frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and emerging mandatory due diligence legislation.
Previously, Shereen was a Research, Campaigns and Communications Assistant at Amnesty International where she worked on the development of research and campaigns across the Middle East. She has extensive experience leading engagement with survivors of human rights abuses, experts and civil society organizations. At Amnesty, she documented a wide variety of human rights issues relating to migrant workers, women’s rights, enforced disappearance, freedom of expression, the death penalty and online violence. Shereen also previously worked at several NGOs conducting legal and human rights research on countries in the MENA region and globally.
Shereen holds an LL.M in International Law from the Graduate Institute, where she specialized in human rights and graduated summa cum laude. She also completed the Legal Practice Course with an additional LL.M in Professional Legal Practice. Shereen holds a LLB from King’s College London where she studies Politics, Philosophy and Law.
