Roland Nathaniel is a Director in Wallbrook’s London office, where he heads our work in Western Europe. He previously worked for The Risk Advisory Group, where he advised private equity clients on pre-transactional integrity due diligence in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. He has also led strategic intelligence investigations covering industries including aerospace, gambling and natural resources.

Roland began his career in compliance at ING in Geneva. He has also worked for the European Commission in Brussels and the Australian Embassy in Paris, where he provided policy guidance for Australia’s €30 billion acquisition of French submarines.

Raised in Switzerland, Roland is a fluent French and German speaker and has working knowledge of Dutch. He completed a BA in German and History at University College London, during which he spent a year at the University of Vienna. He additionally holds a Modern European History MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a War Studies MA from King’s College London.
