Nigel is an Analyst in Wallbrook’s Human Rights practice, where he specialises in human rights due diligence, impact assessment and investigations.
Prior to joining Wallbrook, Nigel was a junior researcher at a digital hub for research and social justice where he drafted reports examining labour rights abuses and researched suppression of freedom of assembly and association in Sub-Saharan Africa. Nigel also worked with an international tracking organisation focused on environmental and human rights impacts of financial institutions and the activities they finance. In addition, Nigel worked with the International Commission of Jurists where he contributed to drafting reports looking at digital rights and regulation in Africa. Prior to this, Nigel conducted a placement with the Institute for Human Rights and Business where he assisted in drafting a code of conduct for global seafarer rights.
Nigel also worked with the International Bar Association where he drafted press releases and intervention letters to heads of state and government regarding human rights abuses and persecution of human rights lawyers. Furthermore, Nigel interned with corporate law firm in Nigeria where he assisted in drafting legal advice to clients on a variety of issues in Nigeria’s energy, shipping and film industry.
