Jonathan is a Partner overseeing Wallbrook’s global Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and human rights practice, helping firms integrate anti-corruption and ESG diligence workflows, and managing supply chain tracing and human rights impact assessments. Jonathan also oversees complex market entry, political risk, integrity due diligence and asset tracing projects.
Jonathan is a recognised authority on the Middle East and Turkey, regularly advising investors, policymakers and non-profits on developments in the region. He is a sought-after speaker at business conferences and think tanks, and frequently comments in international print and broadcast media, including for the BBC, the Financial Times, CNBC, Reuters, the New York Times, Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal.
Prior to Wallbrook, Jonathan held positions at two other risk consultancies, including Stroz Friedberg in London. He began his career working in various roles on Capitol Hill, including working for now-US President Joe Biden.
Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics. He has also studied at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul and speaks Turkish.
