Imogen is a Director in Wallbrook’s London office, where she works primarily in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & Human Rights practice.
Imogen oversees human rights due diligence, investigations and advisory services for companies and investors. She supports clients to develop their human rights policies, conduct human rights impact assessments (HRIA) across the whole value chain, and create and monitor action plans to implement mitigations. Imogen has particular experience working with manufacturing clients to improve their human rights impacts, and recently led on-the-ground HRIAs at production and logistics sites in South Africa, Zambia and Tanzania.
A fluent Spanish and Portuguese speaker, Imogen also has extensive experience assessing corruption, human and labour rights risks in Latin America, Africa and Europe, most notably in Brazil and Angola. She has led integrity due diligence in Latin America on behalf of some of the world’s largest asset managers, routinely advising clients on potential exposure of their counterparties to Operation Car Wash, the long-running Brazilian corruption probe. Imogen has overseen a range of other complex cases in the region, including investigating environmental incidents impacting communities in the Amazon on behalf of a human rights law firm.
Previously, Imogen spent six months working at an NGO in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She also worked at a translation agency in Madrid, where she managed projects for the agency’s not-for-profit initiative.
Imogen holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Portuguese and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies, both from the University of Cambridge. As well as Spanish and Portuguese, she also speaks French. Imogen holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute’s Certificate in ESG Investing.
