Holly is a Senior Analyst in Wallbrook’s London office, working in business intelligence and due diligence with regional expertise in Latin America.
Before joining Wallbrook, Holly researched conflict and political violence for Armed Conflict & Location Event Data Project (ACLED), overseeing the Northeast Brazil region. Her research was focussed on gang and police violence, narcotics seizures, and rioting and protest events. Alongside, she wrote for the Latin American News Digest, a D.C.-based publication, and LatinNews, a London newsroom. Previously, Holly spent 2 years with the London-based charity, Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organisation (IRMO), where she worked with the Latin American community on immigration, education, and employment issues.
Holly holds an MSc in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford. Her thesis analysed immigration policy towards neighbouring fragile states in BRICS countries, comparing migration influxes from Venezuela and Zimbabwe into Brazil and South Africa, respectively. She also holds a PGDip in International Development and International Relations from SOAS, University of London, where she researched the experiences of Japanese migrants and their descendants in Brazil and Peru. Her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Portuguese was awarded by King’s College London, during which time she studied in Lisbon and Santiago de Chile, travelling extensively across South America.
