Dan is a Wallbrook Director and head of our Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union practice. Prior to this, Dan was a Senior Associate at Stroz Friedberg in London. He has covered the FSU extensively for the past six years for think tanks, media publications and as a due diligence consultant.
Dan has completed hundreds of enhanced due diligence investigations for clients in private and investment banking, private equity and other sectors. He has also managed complex investigations and in-depth market entry pieces throughout the former Soviet Union.
Previously, Dan was an editor at Open Democracy Russia, a regional news and analysis outlet publishing in Russian and English. He was also an associate at Global Partners Digital, a London-based social purpose company focused on digital policy and human rights.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in Russian and English Literature from Trinity College, Dublin, and a master’s degree in Policy, Security and Integration from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at University College London. He speaks Russian and Polish and has working knowledge of Serbian/Croatian.
