Christie is a Senior Associate in Wallbrook’s London office, working in the Human Rights practice. She leads human rights due diligence, investigations, investigations and strategy development for global companies in consumer goods, technology, manufacturing and retail sectors.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Christie has a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa but supports clients globally. She has led desktop and in-person human rights assessments across a diverse range of countries including Mexico, Poland, the United States, South Africa, Zambia, South Sudan, among others. She has extensive experience engaging with vulnerable communities, NGOs, corporate leadership and governments on a variety of gender, human rights, digital rights and social inclusion topics. Christie leads our work in conflict-affected jurisdictions and advises leading companies and investors on how to responsibly manage human rights risks in these complex environments.

Before joining Wallbrook, Christie was a partnerships engagement manager at Apolitical, an online learning platform and network for civil servants. At Apolitical, she supported the learning and engagement programs for policymakers working on human rights, gender equality and sustainable finance in over 30 countries. Christie also previously worked at a peacebuilding NGO in Zimbabwe and as a community organiser for an environmental advocacy organisation in the US.

Christie holds a master’s degree in Women, Peace and Security from the London School of Economics, where she graduated with distinction. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, where she majored in International Relations, with a minor in African studies and a focus on gender analysis.
