Charlotte is Wallbrook’s General Counsel, responsible for managing Wallbrook’s legal risk and compliance, corporate governance and providing support with strategic decisions and negotiations.

Charlotte began her career with a training contract at Linklaters LLP, working in London, Moscow and Paris. Charlotte ultimately qualified into Linklaters’ International Energy and Infrastructure team where her practice spanned a variety of sectors including renewable energy, mining, infrastructure, water and petrochemicals. She later continued this work at Shearman & Sterling LLP.

Charlotte has a deep interest in Iran and the wider Middle East. In 2015, upon the signing of Iran’s nuclear non-proliferation agreement, Charlotte took an extended sabbatical to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Tehran where she conducted substantial qualitative research on Iran’s water crisis.

Since her studies in Iran, Charlotte has pursued a portfolio in-house legal career, gaining experience across the banking, tech and retail sectors at JP Morgan, Salesforce and Kingfisher plc respectively. In her most recent role, she supported the Kingfisher plc group across a wide variety of legal matters, with a major focus on international logistics and supply chain and is credited for putting in place Kingfisher’s suite of international shipping contracts during the Covid 19 pandemic and global shipping crisis.

Charlotte has an MA (Hons) in History and Politics from the University of Edinburgh, an LLB from the University of Law and a master’s degree in Iranian Studies from the University of Tehran. She has lived, studied and/or worked in Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, Russia and France. She speaks Farsi and French.
