Charles is a Director in Wallbrook’s Dubai office where he oversees the company’s India desk. His work focuses on India and the wider South Asia region.
Charles works on pre-transactional and third-party due diligence, business intelligence, and human rights investigations for a variety of clients including law firms, multinational corporations and financial institutions. He has also conducted numerous cross-jurisdictional asset tracing exercises with a particular focus on the UAE and India. This included helping a bank in the Arabian Gulf to identify potentially recoverable assets held by one of its former employees, an Indian national who had stolen millions of dollars from the bank over several years.
Charles began his career working in India for a global risk management firm. Based in Delhi, he spent three years focusing on assignments in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Prior to this, Charles interned at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), a Delhi-based government-funded think tank that focuses on international relations and security issues. While at the IDSA, Charles worked on a project in collaboration with the Indian government’s Defence Research and Development Organization.
Charles holds an undergraduate degree in Politics from Newcastle University, and a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Bristol.
