Alex Lam is an Associate at Wallbrook in Hong Kong, where he focuses on integrity and compliance due diligence investigations in the Greater China region.
Prior to joining Wallbrook, Alex has been an investigative journalist for 13 years, including ten years at Apple Daily Hong Kong. He led a team that produced investigative features in areas ranging from politics, urban development, to human rights and the pandemic. During this time, he and his team have exposed vote-rigging in local elections and construction scandals in billion-dollar railway projects, while covering significant local and international events such as the 2015 European migrant crisis and the 2019 protests in Hong Kong.
After the shutdown of Apple Daily, Alex joined FactWire, an investigation-focused news agency in Hong Kong, and served as an editor.
Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in Global Business and Marketing from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a master’s degree in Journalism from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a native Cantonese speaker and is also fluent in Mandarin.
